World Aquatics began construction of its new global headquarters in Budapest on October 7, 2025, consolidating administrative offices, an elite training centre, and athlete accommodation into a 20,000-square-metre complex. Approved at the 2023 General Congress and operating partially from Budapest since 2024, the move from Lausanne aims to modernize governance, enhance efficiency, and promote international cooperation. The headquarters, scheduled for completion by mid-2028, will also serve as a hub for athletes, coaches, and officials, reinforcing Budapest's status as a centre for aquatic sports.

The ITA has banned Polish canoeist Remigiusz Nowaczyk for three months after he tested positive for cocaine at the FISU World University Canoe Sprint Championship in September 2022. All his results from the event have been disqualified. Moroccan breakdancer Fouad Ambelj, also known as B-boy Lil Zoo, received a four-year ban for refusing to submit to an out-of-competition sample collection in June 2024. All his results since that date have been annulled.
