Michael Degtyarev, Minister for Sport and President of the Russian Olympic Committee, met with FISU Secretary General Matthias Remund to discuss the development of student sport in Russia and potential collaborations, including the Healthy Campus Programme. Discussions occurred amid IOC guidelines regarding Russian athletes' participation in international competitions, where Remund emphasized FISU's neutrality and adherence to IOC guidelines.

HRH Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) and IOC Executive Board Member, welcomed a delegation from the ‘Hope and Dreams Festival’ led by Dr. Chungwon Choue, President of World Taekwondo, Leonz Eder, President of the International University Sports Federation, and Riccardo Fraccari, President of the World Baseball Softball Confederation on April 29, 2025. The third edition of the Hope and Dreams Sports Festival will be held in Jordan from April 30 to May 3, featuring five sports including basketball, baseball, badminton, handball, and taekwondo.

A high-level delegation from the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee (KSOC), led by President Seung Min Ryu, visited the FISU headquarters to reaffirm their commitment to university sports. Discussions focused on the Republic of Korea’s contributions to FISU and the upcoming 2027 FISU World University Games in Chungcheong. FISU officials plan to visit KSOC President Ryu in the Republic of Korea soon to further discuss the 2027 games.
