The World DanceSport Federation (130) is launching the World Breaking DanceSport Festival in Brisbane, Australia, in January 2026, in collaboration with DanceSport Australia. This marks the inaugural edition of an annual event, supported by the momentum of breaking's Olympic debut at Paris 2024 and the anticipated return at Brisbane 2032. The festival, featuring 1 vs 1 and 3 vs 3 competitions, aims to strengthen the breaking movement in Australia and Oceania. The event will be broadcast globally and will include educational initiatives to support young breakers.

The ITA has banned Polish canoeist Remigiusz Nowaczyk for three months after he tested positive for cocaine at the FISU World University Canoe Sprint Championship in September 2022. All his results from the event have been disqualified. Moroccan breakdancer Fouad Ambelj, also known as B-boy Lil Zoo, received a four-year ban for refusing to submit to an out-of-competition sample collection in June 2024. All his results since that date have been annulled.
