The Badminton World Federation (BWF) and Infront have unveiled a strategic plan set to reshape the sport, starting in 2027. Key changes include doubling the number of televised matches to approximately 3,000 annually, revamping the BWF World Tour with 36 tournaments across six levels, and significantly increasing prize money across all tiers. Super 1000 events will see a prize increase to $2 million, with the World Tour Finals offering $3 million. Format changes include group stages for Super 1000 tournaments and the World Championships, and expanded participation in the Sudirman Cup and Thomas & Uber Cup Finals.
