Australian hockey player Jane Claxton has been appointed as an ambassador for the IOC's 'Believe in Sport' campaign, joining nine other athletes to promote integrity and prevent competition manipulation. Claxton, a three-time Olympian, will participate in educational activities and workshops, extending the campaign's reach to the Milano Cortina 2026, Dakar 2026, Dolomiti Valtellina 2028, and Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. The program, launched in 2019, aims to raise awareness and empower athletes to make ethical choices. International Hockey Federation President Tayyab Ikram congratulated Claxton on her appointment.

The OCA announced that IOC President-elect Kirsty Coventry will attend the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya in September 2026. This announcement was made at a joint press conference between the OCA and AINAGOC. OCA also discussed athlete accommodation, transportation, venue readiness, engagement with local citizens, operational methods, and contingency plans for natural disasters with AINAGOC. Kirsty Coventry is set to succeed Thomas Bach as IOC President on June 23, 2025.

Dr Robin E. Mitchell, former Fiji national athlete and coach, has been appointed as Chair of the IOC Health, Medicine and Science Commission, effective January 1, 2025. Succeeding Prof. Uğur Erdener, Dr Mitchell will promote sports sciences and athlete health, leveraging his experience with the Oceania National Olympic Committees (ONOC) and the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC). He will also contribute to the Safe Sport Regional Hub Initiative in the Pacific Islands, focusing on safeguarding and addressing interpersonal violence in sports. Dr Mitchell's background includes roles in medical commissions for World Athletics, the International Hockey Federation, and the ANOC Medical Commission, as well as representing the IOC on the World Anti-Doping Agency’s Foundation Board.
