With one year until the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, South Korea is intensifying its national team selection process. Archery, a strong medal contender, begins its qualifiers this month, selecting 16 athletes (8 men and 8 women) through multiple stages. Fencing will determine its participants based on the International Fencing Federation (FIE) world rankings after national team selection. Modern pentathlon, replacing equestrian events with obstacle courses, will hold selections this year to choose 4 athletes of each gender.
