South Korea's shooting team won four gold medals at the 2025 International Shooting Sport Federation (International Shooting Sport Federation) World Championships in Cairo. The women's 50m rifle prone and women's 25m pistol teams each secured gold. Oh Se-hee won both individual and team gold in the women's 50m rifle prone, while Yang Ji-in secured gold in both the team and individual events for the women's 25m pistol. South Korea now ranks second overall with six gold medals.

The European Shooting Confederation (ESC) Presidium met in Osijek, Croatia, to discuss strategies for increasing the popularity of shooting sports and attracting young athletes. Key decisions included amending International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) regulations, appointing Melis Giraud as ESC Secretary General, confirming the 30th Ordinary General Assembly in Yerevan in October 2025, approving the 2026 European Championships calendar, and a preliminary 2025 budget which sponsorship contributions will cover 90% of expenses. The presidium also discussed allowing up to six athletes per nation in individual running target events at the 2025 European Championships in Châteauroux. They also reviewed requests from national federations and the participation status of smaller nations in European Championships since 2023.

The ISSF President Luciano Rossi and delegation visited Australia to meet with the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC), including President Ian Chesterman and CEO Matt Carroll, to solidify its place in the Olympic Programme for Brisbane 2032. ISSF also awarded Ewen Pirie the ISSF Presidential Gold Medal for his contributions to shooting in Oceania. Furthermore, the ISSF signed a Collaboration Agreement with the International Military Sports Council (CISM) to develop sport shooting.

The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) is expanding its education and officiating programs, including a recent Shotgun Judges and Referees Course in Poland. They are also modernizing with virtual reality shooting technology unveiled at the European Outdoor Show in Verona. In February 2025, the ISSF allocated $247,000 in equipment grants to 18 member federations and celebrated positive assessments of shooting sports participation at Paris 2024 by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
