The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced the 15 finalists for the Climate Action Awards 2025, recognizing initiatives in sustainability across the Olympic Movement. The awards, supported by Deloitte, include finalists from athletes, National Olympic Committees (NOCs), and International Federations (IFs) for their impactful projects. Winners will be announced before the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.

Tanjun Associate LLP, with IOC and ITTF Foundation support, uses table tennis to drive environmental and social impact in rural India. They empower marginalized women by training them to produce sustainable bamboo sports equipment, promoting environmentally friendly practices and social change. Working with local schools, Tanjun has trained 200 people (80% women) in table tennis, sustainable equipment production, and environmental awareness. Rekha Dey highlights sport's role in building relationships and breaking down barriers. Supported by the Olympism365 Innovation Hub, Tanjun has scaled its work, developed bamboo sports equipment, and aims to build a 100% bamboo table tennis table by year-end. Tanjun operates in Uttarakhand and Utter Pradesh, focusing on climate action and community empowerment. They are part of the Olympism365 Innovation Hub, receiving USD 300,000 in IOC co-investment. Dey will attend the Olympism365 Summit in Lausanne in June 2025 to explore partnerships.
