The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced the 15 finalists for the Climate Action Awards 2025, recognizing initiatives in sustainability across the Olympic Movement. The awards, supported by Deloitte, include finalists from athletes, National Olympic Committees (NOCs), and International Federations (IFs) for their impactful projects. Winners will be announced before the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.

IOC President Kirsty Coventry engaged with key stakeholders, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, to discuss support for Ukraine and its athletes, and created four working groups focused on the Youth Olympic Games, Olympic programme, protecting the female category, and commercial partnerships and marketing as part of the "Fit For The Future" process. She also welcomed delegations from the NOC of Botswana and the Ugandan NOC, discussing preparations for Dakar 2026 and mental health initiatives, respectively. Meetings were held with the International Fencing Federation (FIE) and Alibaba to discuss preparations for upcoming Games and digital strategy. Allyson Felix's film was screened at the Olympic Museum, and a wreath was laid at Pierre de Coubertin's tomb. Other Olympic news included collaborative action grants for refugee support, a medal design call for Dakar 2026, and a Lacoste Olympic Heritage apparel range.

IOC President Kirsty Coventry consulted with Honorary and Honour Members on the IOC's future direction. She met with the Swiss National Council’s Foreign Affairs Committee, FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis, and FIH President Tayyab Ikram, discussing the impact of the IOC and IFs in Switzerland and preparations for LA28. Coventry welcomed Olympic swimming champion Katinka Hosszu and presented recognition to Emily Rogers and Jackie Chan. She also attended the Athletissima City Event and held meetings with various partners and IOC members. Honorary President Thomas Bach received the Grand Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit and an honorary doctorate from the Hungarian University of Sports Science.

IOC President Thomas Bach, nearing the end of his term, engaged in numerous meetings and farewell events. He and President-elect Kirsty Coventry met with ANOC, Korean, and Chinese NOC leaders, and Mengniu and TCL representatives. Bach received an ANOC Honorary Award, the ICF Order of Merit, and the African Recognition Trophy. He addressed Olympians, expressing confidence in Coventry. The IOC also released its 2024 Annual Report, highlighting the success of the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

In Andorra, he emphasized inclusivity and met with NOC presidents. In Doha, he presented awards at the ITTF event and discussed sports policy with Qatar's leaders. In Munich, he attended the Champions League final. Additionally, Airbnb launched Olympic and Paralympic experiences for Milano Cortina 2026, the Olympic Museum announced a Paris 2024 photography exhibition, and Pierre Ducrey was appointed as the IOC’s new Sports Director.
