Georgian wrestler and Tokyo 2020 silver medalist Iakobi Kajaia has been banned for two years by the ITA for failing to comply with whereabouts rules. Kajaia missed three unannounced tests within a 12-month period, violating Article 2.4 of the World Anti-Doping Code. The ban, effective April 4, 2025, disqualifies his results since January 6, 2024. The Albanian NOC and officials from North Ossetia have condemned Russian Wrestling Federation President Mikhail Mamiashvili for calling Albanian wrestler Chermen Valiev a 'traitor' after Valiev won gold at the European Wrestling Championships. The FIVB and the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) met to discuss expanding volleyball in Qatar, reinforcing collaboration in line with the FIVB’s Strategic Vision 2032.
