Iranian Greco-Roman wrestler Iman Mohammadi has been provisionally suspended after testing positive for GW1516, a prohibited substance, at the 2025 U23 World Championships. The International Testing Agency (ITA) confirmed the adverse analytical finding from a sample collected on October 22, 2025. Mohammadi, a recent U23 World Champion and multiple-time Asian champion, retains the right to request B-sample analysis. United World Wrestling (UWW) has delegated its anti-doping program to the ITA, which will handle the legal proceedings.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport reduced the doping ban for Turkish wrestler Rıza Kayaalp from four years to 18 months, concluding on 2025-10-28.
