Italy's National Olympic Committee has named karateka Angelo Crescenzo and archer Chiara Rebagliati as flag bearers for the Italian delegation at the World Games Chengdu 2025. Crescenzo, a former world and European champion in karate, and Rebagliati, a two-time Olympian and World Archery Field Champion, will lead the 176-strong team competing in 24 sports. The World Games, featuring over 5,000 athletes from more than 100 countries, will take place from August 7 to 17, 2025.

An Indian delegation, led by Gujarat Sports Minister Harsh Sanghvi and IOA President PT Usha, met with global sports bodies in Lausanne, including SportAccord, ANOC, and the International Volleyball Federation. They invited SportAccord to host its conference in Gujarat and discussed hosting ANOC events in India. The meetings aimed to position India, particularly Gujarat, as a global sports hub.

Key meetings involving the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Sport, and international sports leaders from World Archery and World Triathlon have addressed priorities such as mass participation, athlete training, facility improvements, and hosting global events like the recent World Cup leg in Samarkand. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev supports youth engagement in sports as part of the Uzbekistan 2030 strategy, with initiatives to enhance talent identification and promote physical education.

The Uzbekistan NOC and Archery Federation met with World Archery, Russian Archery Federation, and Archery Association of Korea officials on May 19, 2025, to discuss archery development in Uzbekistan and the organization of international tournaments. World Archery expressed confidence in Uzbekistan's future success in international archery competitions.
