The Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), through ANOC.tv, is launching a sports photography workshop at the Riyadh 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games, in collaboration with Team Saudi and the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA). The workshop, running from November 3-21, 2025, will offer local photographers training with international sports photographer Annice Lyn. This initiative aims to enhance visual communication in sports and promote Saudi talent, aligning with the trend toward free-to-access sports broadcasting.

India is launching the Rugby Premier League (RPL), a two-week rugby sevens league in Mumbai, to increase the sport's popularity and identify talent for potential Olympic participation. Managed by GMR Sports, the league features six franchise teams with Indian players and international stars from the World Rugby Sevens Series. Rugby India President Rahul Bose aims to demonstrate rugby sevens' potential in India, with ambitions for an Indian rugby team to reach the Olympics, aligning with the country's bid to host the 2036 Olympics. The RPL's budget has significantly increased, with international players receiving competitive fees. Former USA coach Mike Friday emphasizes the importance of grassroots development for sustained growth.

Cathy Wong has been elected as the new President of the Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee (FASANOC), succeeding Makarita Lenoa. Wong, a National Rugby Union board member and former chef de mission to the 2016 Rio Olympics, secured a majority of votes against Rajesh Singh. FASANOC also elected Ajay Ballu, Inoke Niubalavu, and Lucy Erasito as vice presidents, and Petero Vatu as vice president of finance. Prem Narayan was elected as an independent legal representative. Additionally, Dr Robin Mitchell and Vidhya Lakhan were elected as trustees, Munroe Leys as honorary solicitor, and KPMG as honorary auditor. Wong aims to improve relations with National Federations and enhance Fiji’s sporting achievements. She recently met with rugby representatives, including World Rugby, to explore partnerships ahead of the Olympics in Brisbane.

Representatives from Fiji Rugby Union, World Rugby, Rugby Australia, and Tonga Rugby Union convened with Robin Mitchell (ONOC President and IOC Member) in Fiji to discuss collaboration ahead of Brisbane 2032. Discussions focused on partnerships, high-performance programs for Pacific athletes with Queensland universities and strategies for Rugby World Cups 2027 and 2029. The British Olympic Association (BOA) has appointed Sarah Massey as its new Director of Sport, effective January 2026. Massey, currently Managing Director of the Rugby World Cup 2025, will oversee Sport and Athlete Services, and high-performance strategies for Team GB, including preparations for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics and the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Olympics. She will work with National Governing Bodies (NGBs) to support athletes. Previously, Massey held leadership roles with World Athletics, the International Hockey Federation, and the International Tennis Federation.
