LA28 has finalized its sailing venue plan, confirming ten events with gender equality at the Port of Los Angeles and Belmont Shore. The Port will host six events, including dinghy and skiff races, while Belmont Shore will host four board events, including windsurfing and kiteboarding. The event plan was developed in coordination with World Sailing and the IOC and it reinforces gender equality. Reynold Hoover, LA28 CEO, and mayors Karen Bass and Rex Richardson expressed their enthusiasm for the Games.

The Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games has finalized the Port of Los Angeles and Belmont Shore in Long Beach as the sailing competition venues. The Port of Los Angeles will host six boat events, while Belmont Shore will host four board events. The venues were selected in collaboration with the cities of Los Angeles and Long Beach, and World Sailing to provide optimal conditions for sailors and a quality experience for spectators. The Port of Los Angeles previously hosted Olympic sailing in 1932, and Long Beach in 1984. The sailing events will be held consecutively to maximize media coverage and fan experience, with the distance between the two venues being 16 kilometers.
