The Philippines will host the Men’s Volleyball World Championship in 2025, marking a strategic move to enhance sports tourism and solidify its role in regional sports diplomacy. Organized by the Philippine National Volleyball Federation and supported by the FIVB’s “Volleyball Empowerment” program, the event aims to boost the sport's development, improve infrastructure, and promote the country as a venue for major sporting events. The tournament, featuring a new 32-team format, is expected to generate substantial revenue and strengthen the Philippines' position within the Olympic Council of Asia.

The 2025 Hope and Dreams Sports Festival in Amman, Jordan, hosted over 1,250 participants, adding handball to taekwondo, basketball, baseball5, and badminton. Organized by World Taekwondo and THF, the festival included demonstrations in Azraq and Za'atari refugee camps. FISU President Leonz Eder and World Baseball Softball Confederation President Riccardo Fraccari joined Chungwon Choue and HRH Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein to discuss expanding the festival's reach, with plans to integrate FISU and launch online learning by 2026.

The Hope and Dreams Festival, organized by World Taekwondo and the Taekwondo Humanitarian Foundation in partnership with the Jordan Olympic Committee and other International Federations, concluded in Amman and the Azraq and Za’atari Refugee Camps on May 4, 2025. The festival featured taekwondo, badminton, baseball5, basketball 3x3, handball, and weightlifting. Around 300 athletes participated in taekwondo competitions. Badminton saw a significant increase to 80 young athletes. WT President Chungwon Choue met with JOC President HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein, FISU President Leonz Eder, and WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari before the festival. The next edition will coincide with the THF's 10th anniversary.
