Russia is hosting a curling competition with teams from Kazakhstan, Türkiye, and Belarus in Murom. The event occurs while restrictions on Russian and Belarusian athletes by the World Curling Federation remain in place due to the ongoing war in Ukraine. The ban, initially imposed in March 2022 and extended until the end of the 2025 season, is based on concerns about event integrity. Athletes from these nations will compete as Individual Neutral Athletes at the 2026 Winter Olympics, following similar measures from the Paris 2024 Games.

The Korean Curling Federation announced its 'Five Innovation Visions' on August 12, 2025, at the Olympic Hall in Songpa-gu, Seoul, outlining a long-term development strategy aimed at strengthening national team performance and international competitiveness. Key goals include securing Olympic qualifications for men's curling and mixed doubles at the Olympic Qualifying Event (OQE) in December 2025, and aiming for at least a silver medal in women's curling at the 2026 Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo Winter Olympics. The federation launched a National Team Development Committee with experts in psychology, physical training, ice management, and strategy analysis. They also plan to enhance administrative efficiency through digital systems, strengthen cooperation with the World Curling Federation, and promote floor curling internationally.

US Steel will be the title sponsor for the 2025 Pan Continental Curling Championships in Minnesota, to be held from October 19-26. The event, the fourth of its kind, is a qualifier for the 2026 World Curling Championships. Division A will be held at the Iron Trail Motors Event Center and Division B at the Curl Mesabi complex. Reigning champions are Canada (women) and China (men).

Aberdeen, Scotland, will host the Pre-Olympic Qualification Event 2025 for curling from October 7-11. The top three NOCs in both men's and women's categories will advance to the Olympic Qualification Event 2025 in Kelowna, Canada, in December. Curl Aberdeen, a venue with six curling sheets, will host the event. Spots for Milano Cortina 2026 will also be determined by the results of the 2024 and 2025 World Championships, including the Women's World Curling Championship in Uijeongbu, Korea, the Men's World Championship in Moose Jaw, Canada, and the World Mixed Doubles Championship in Fredericton, Canada.

The World Curling Federation has selected Taarnby, Denmark, to host the 2026 World Junior Curling Championships from February 24 to March 3. The event will take place at the Taarnby Curling Club, which has a seven-sheet rink and has previously hosted international events, including the 2012 World Senior Championships and the 2016 VoIP Defender World Junior Championships. Gray Dawes, a British corporate travel agency, will be the official sponsor for the 2026 and 2027 championships.
