This follows their submission for the 2031 tournament and is due to the AFC combining the bidding processes for both events. Several countries, including Australia, Indonesia, India, and Kuwait, are also vying for the 2031 tournament. The KFA aims to increase their chances of hosting by strategically assessing the situation and collaborating with relevant organizations like the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee.
