The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) presented its Classification Recognition Award to Elsa Matthee, Datuk Dr Rokiah Omar, the Frame Running Research Team, Dušana Augustovičová, and Dr Jürgen Schwittai. Matthee was honored for her work in boccia and with the Cerebral Palsy International Sports and Recreation Association. The Frame Running Research Team was awarded for their work enabling athletes to be classified and their event included in the LA28 Paralympic Games. Augustovičová was recognized for leading the development of the World Karate Federation's para-karate classification system. Schwittai was honored for his work in para sailing and contributions to the IPC Classification Committee.

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has voted to lift the suspension on Russia and Belarus, potentially allowing their athletes to compete under their flags at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Paralympic Games. This decision, pending approval by individual international federations, has sparked debate. Astrit Hasani, president of the European Weightlifting Federation (EWF), has also called for an end to the 'Individual Neutral Athlete' (AIN) status, advocating that athletes should not be penalized for their governments' actions.

The International Olympic Committee -IOC- reviewed the progress of French Alps 2030, receiving updates on team consolidation, vision development, and the handover from Milano Cortina 2026. The Coordination Commission, chaired by Pierre-Olivier Beckers-Vieujant, will hold its first meeting December 1-3. The IPC has opened nominations for the Athletes’ Council elections, scheduled for March 4-13, 2026, during the Milano Cortina Winter Paralympics. Three winter sports representatives will be elected to replace members whose terms end after the Beijing 2022 Games. Nominations, due by October 31, 2025, must come from National Paralympic Committees, International Federations, or International Organizations for Sport for Persons with Disabilities. Eligible athletes must have competed in Milano Cortina 2026 or at least one of the two previous editions (PyeongChang 2018 and Beijing 2022).
