The Nigerian Olympic Committee (NOC) has submitted an official expression of interest to the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games in Abuja. Nigeria aims to be the first African country to host the Games, emphasizing the potential to showcase development, enhance its global position, and boost sports culture. The NOC seeks federal government support for a formal bid, highlighting Nigeria's experience hosting the 2003 All-Africa Games and the potential for infrastructure and economic revitalization.
