Donal Rukare, a Ugandan sports leader, was elected as the new president of the Commonwealth Games Federation (405) in Glasgow. He is the first African to hold this position. Rukare, who previously chaired Uganda's National Council of Sports and Uganda Olympic Committee, will lead the organization as it prepares for the Glasgow 2026 Games and the 2030 Games in Ahmedabad.
