ANOC and Peak Sport will provide free uniforms to six NOCs (Malta, United States Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Lesotho, Botswana, and Nepal) at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. This initiative, part of an $7.1 million (€6.5m) in-kind sponsorship, aims to support NOCs with six or fewer athletes, ensuring they have quality sportswear. The partnership, announced at the XXVII ANOC General Assembly in 2024, extends to the Brisbane 2032 Olympics, with expectations to support 40 NOCs by then.

Sheikh Joaan Bin Hamad Al Thani is the sole candidate for the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) presidency, with elections scheduled for January 26, 2026, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Nominated by the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) and backed by three other NOCs, his candidacy follows the decision to hold early elections due to the health of current President Raja Randhir Singh, who will be appointed Honorary Life President. Al Thani's strategic platform focuses on solidarity, digital transformation, sustainability, credibility, and financial resilience, with priorities including infrastructure upgrades and equitable opportunity distribution. He has served as QOC President since 2015 and ANOC first vice-president, contributing to various IOC commissions and leading international events hosted in Qatar.

The Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) has partnered with Bluewater as a Gold Partner through the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games to promote sustainable hydration and reduce single-use plastics in sports. Initiatives include installing water purification systems at ANOC events, implementing refill stations at competitions, and launching awareness campaigns. Olympic champion Ellie Aldridge will promote clean hydration in sports.

Qatar has announced Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani and Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani as the leaders of its 2036 Olympic bid committee. Sheikh Joaan, chairman of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) and vice-chairman of the Association of National Olympic Committees, will lead the effort, leveraging his experience and network. Sheikha Hind, with her focus on education and women in sports, will serve as vice-president. The bid emphasizes Qatar's experience hosting major sporting events and its commitment to sustainability. The Qatari leaders expect to meet IOC representatives next month, following India's meeting in early July. The IOC president is Kirsty Coventry.
