She also welcomed delegations from the NOC of Botswana and the Ugandan NOC, discussing preparations for Dakar 2026 and mental health initiatives, respectively. Meetings were held with the International Fencing Federation (FIE) and Alibaba to discuss preparations for upcoming Games and digital strategy. Allyson Felix's film was screened at the Olympic Museum, and a wreath was laid at Pierre de Coubertin's tomb. Other Olympic news included collaborative action grants for refugee support, a medal design call for Dakar 2026, and a Lacoste Olympic Heritage apparel range.

IOC President Thomas Bach, nearing the end of his term, engaged in numerous meetings and farewell events. He and President-elect Kirsty Coventry met with ANOC, Korean, and Chinese NOC leaders, and Mengniu and TCL representatives. Bach received an ANOC Honorary Award, the ICF Order of Merit, and the African Recognition Trophy. He addressed Olympians, expressing confidence in Coventry. The IOC also released its 2024 Annual Report, highlighting the success of the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) unveiled a series of athlete safety and wellbeing initiatives at the Olympism365 Summit in Lausanne, including resources, training, and technologies to combat violence and abuse. Led by Prince Faisal Al Hussein, the initiative emphasizes mental health and digital protection, including AI-driven tools from Paris 2024 to be used at Milano Cortina 2026 to filter online abuse. Collaborations with the UN's Spotlight Initiative and FIFA, along with programs like the Safe Sport Regional Centres Initiative, aim to enhance athlete support globally and locally. A new International Task Force on Safe Sport and courses to train protection officers and promote mental health awareness are also being launched.

IOC President Thomas Bach mourned the death of Pope Francis, a supporter of the Olympic Movement, and awarded Gary Hall Jr. replica Olympic medals to replace those lost in a fire. Bach also addressed ICECP participants, met with Olympic Committee Presidents and discussed Olympic topics with Florian Sperl and Astrit Hasani.

The IOC EB, chaired by Thomas Bach and Kirsty Coventry, approved the LA28 event program with 351 medal events and 10,500 athlete quotas, adding 698 places for baseball/softball, cricket, flag football, lacrosse, and squash. All team sports will have equal numbers of women's and men's teams. The IOC also countersigned the French Alps 2030 Olympic Host Contract, enabling formal work to begin. Thomas Bach met with International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) leadership and the Korean Sport and Olympic Committee President Seung Min Ryu to discuss a potential Olympic bid.
